He's not a little boy anymore

I was telling Mere over at Mere's Lair about my baby boy and wanted her to see him then and now.

He was such a cute little guy and he's growing up to be a very handsome young man. Now, does that sound like a proud mother or what? He has this nose that we can't place. I am going to have to scour all our family photos. It reminds me of a Greek statue but I don't know which one. The first photo was taken in Fort Lauderdale at a butterfly farm. The second was taken on his 16th birthday. He is almost taller than his dad and there is hope that he will be taller. My grandfather was 6'7" and my sister's son is 6'5" or 6'6".

I have shown you photos of my darling daughter who got married in November and now my baby boy. Sometime soon I will have to post photos of the princess. Maybe she will let me get photos next month when she moves into her own apartment.

Maybe she will get photos of me doing the happy dance. I did one for her sister when she moved into her own apartment so it is only fair that I do one for her too, right? I refuse to have that malady called empty nest syndrome, nope, nope, nope. If they are capable of moving into their own apartment and supporting themselves then we have done well raising them. Wouldn't you agree?

Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Yup, they grow up fast! Handsome boy!! And no. I don't really think there's any such thing as empty nest syndrome. My oldest son has come back a couple of times, once for three months with Bjorn and Mathias. As much as I love those little ones (and their daddy), I was more than happy to help them move into their own place! Have a good Wednesday.

  3. Great pictures--thanks for sharing them! And I think your view of kids moving out is perfectly healthy! And as long as mine don't go to far away I think I will be able to handle it...
