My son's childhood buddy passed away this week. This young man had spent many days at our home over the years. He and my son found plenty to get into growing up and we never knew what they would come up with next. Dameon was only 17 and had as many open heart surgeries as he had years. That never stopped him and you would never have known he had a heart condition if we hadn't been told. The boys had drifted apart this last year, but every once in a while Dameon would stop by and they would hang out for a while. We will miss him greatly. This is a tragedy that no parent should ever suffer and I pray for his parents and sister.

I am so sorry to hear that. What a tragedy. It is so unfair to loose someone so young. Like you, your son must be pretty torn up. I will be praying for your family and his loved ones. Death is never easy. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. I used to have a Sun Conure. We loved that bird, but he was the noisiest thing ever!!! Unfortunately we had to find him another family, because when Lexi was born, he was very jealous of her. It was sad seeing him go and I think about him often, but it is nice to be able to read the paper on a Sunday morning and not hear him screaming at me to hold him. lol.
