Pardon Me, My Politics is Showing

Probably most of you that tune into my blog know that I love this country. My grandfather served in the military, my uncle served, my father served, my husband served, my brother (in law) served, my husband's 3 brothers served, several of his uncles served in the military.
I bought a flag for my office and I am bothered when our safety patrol forgets to put up our flag at work/school.

This bothers me

As the president of the United States -
WHO,
THE HELL,
DO YOU PLEDGE YOUR ALLEGIANCE TO??????????????

I hope my speaking out doesn't bother you, but if it does I won't mind if you choose not to follow my blog. To those of you who are also bothered by this. . .
Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Dear Leslie, Wow! I am so proud of you! And I want you to know I am with you 100 percent! This is AMERICA and I get tears in my eyes whenever I see our American flag... and I always put my hand over my heart... I keep little American flags at my daddy's grave, he was a Colonel in the United States Army... a patriot... and I was raised loving and respecting our Country and our flag... something is definitely wrong with this picture! Thank you for standing up for what MANY of us still DO believe in... xoxo Julie Marie

  2. This picture doesn't shock me at all. How very sad that he is our President. You've read my blog, so you know how I feel, I stand right beside you on this one! Hope you are feeling better! :)

  3. Hi, Leslie! Where did you find this picture? I've seen others pre-election where he had failed to salute but if I'm seeing this correctly, it shows the presidential seal on the podium! Any idea when it was taken? What a shameful and pitiful display for the commander in chief!

  6. Leslie, I TOTALLY agree! Let's all work harder for change for the better, back to the country with the values our family members and friends have fought so hard and sacrificed their lives to keep for us! <><

  7. Do we know when this picture was taken? Is it during the Pledge or the National Anthem (which, in modern times, does not require the hand over the heart)? Is it possible the photo was taken right before the President lifted his hand?

I'm leaning toward it being during the Anthem. That being said, I sing the Anthem at public venues/events at least once a month. It runs the gamut of how people behave. Some sing, many stand (some don't), some people have hand over heart, most don't.

I don't fall into the trappings of forwarded e-mails such as this one. If I'm curious as to its validity, I research the subject, then draw my own conclusions. I can only imagine what the text would be with random photos of any one of us.
