This is the card for the office chicks to sign for Ms. S. Story below . . .
Gift box that says on the top - Congratulations. I guess I could have taken a photo of it. It is very pretty in a very elegant font from the stamp set Gracious Greetings.
I would tell you to check out Faith's blog, but then you would see how very bad my imitation of her card really is. - grins -
Just my own playing around with paper and stamps and a couple brads and dew drops.
Okay, Mary Engelbreit I am not.
I love the saying on this card. Actually out of the stamp set of about 18 or so stamps this is the only thing I like about it. The black and white papers are from The Paper Studio.
I tried to make this card without the ribbon, I really did, but I am just not there yet.
You have probably seen the one similar to this that I made a few weeks ago. I liked everything about it so I made it again.
New stamp set called Candlelight from CTMH. Love it.
This stamp set is Gracious Greetings. This is the font that the Congratulations on the top of the box is stamped in.
Another Gracious Greeting Stamp. The corners are from Flower Soft and the design is from one of the magazines I either get in the mail or pick up at the store. I don't remember who made it or what magazine it is in. I have showcased it a few times before though and I have given credit to the designer and the magazine. You'll just have to go through my blog and find it. ha ha
Another Gracious Greetings stamp. Can you tell how much I like that set?
I know most of you are asking what is an AP and what is P? Is that a good thing to be? Well, let me tell you. An AP is an Assistant Principal so a P must be a Principal. I personally wouldn't want to be either one, but this lady does, and now she is one. Ms. S found out on Friday that she was getting her own school. She has to report there tomorrow. She started packing up her office on Friday afternoon. She has been at our school for 3 years so she has stuff to pack. Of course, I made her a card, but I also put together a gift box of cards. Just for the heck of it and cuz I am such a nice, sweet person.
I actually had made the box some time ago and it was just hanging around my scraproom so I thought I would put it to good use. The recipe for the box came from Vicki Wizniuk. Vicki is awesome when it comes to patterns for boxes and card holders. She also makes great cards. check out her blog and see, you will agree.
I have found another blog that I just love to visit. It is called Simplicity. ew of the cards I made today are based (loosely) on her designs. DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO MAKE A "SIMPLE" CARD? Try it sometime and see for your self. I cannot believe it. To look at a simple card that has maybe two or three pieces of card stock, you would think it was easy. NOPE!
Do you know who Markie's Mom is? Faith Hofrichter is Markie's Mom and that is her blog name: Stamping with Markie's Mom. I have admired Faith's cards for several years now, and found out she used to be a Stampin' Up rep, but left them to pursue her dream of owning her own company. It is called Mark's Finest Papers. Mark is her husband, Markie is there son and Speedy the cat is their emblem. Oh the stories she tells about Speedy on her blog. You would think her is human. But then, a story for another time. I am fortunate enough to live in the same town with Faith. The other day I placed an order and rather than pay shipping I called her and she met me at a local store so I could pick up my products. How is that for service - with a smile - no less? Anyway one of the cards in today's batch is again (loosely) based on one of her cards.
Anyway, there is a good variety of cards here. Hopefully, she can use them.
It has been three days of scrappin' fun and it has to come to an end. I have work to do. I do have another card to post. I think it is too late to post on the challenge blog, but I don't want to waste a good card and not post it. I guess I need to let you be the judge of whether it is a good card or not.
Thanks for tuning in.
