Tri Shutter Card

I saw the tutorial for this card today on Split Coast Stampers and remembered that I had one half made in my That's Amore paper packet and decided to get it out and finish it. I love this paper, but when I use it I am disappointed. Maybe it is just because a lot of cards that I see that I really admire have so much on them and I do not have that gift. I always err on the side of less is more. Anyway, here is my attempt. I saw the idea of putting the little angels from Angel Sent in the Annotations label and thought that was so clever. I used my colored pencils to fill them in.
Can you tell I am not happy with my card? Not enough not to post it though.
Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Oh Leslie I think it turned out nice. I am also very fond of this paper but never seem to accomplish what I see in my head to translate on a card or layout.

  2. OK, girlie. You need a pep talk. What's wrong with your card? Nothing. It's beautiful. Great use of the Annotations labels, and those little angels are darling. The papers and colors are balanced into a pleasing design. As far as I'm concerned, your addition of "stuff" is just right - not too much, not too little. You're being too hard on yourself! I do know how you feel though. I'm not the greatest when it comes to using embellishments. Ribbon and brads. I've got them down. The rest? Not so much. I just collect it! LOL. Truly Lesley, your card is very pretty.
