more birthday cards 2
I guess I am not very imaginative when it comes to naming my posts, I am now having to add numbers to them to differentiate them. These cards are for friends that were born on the same day. They have been friends since they started grade school and they are in their mid to late 60s now. That's a really long time to be friends. She went on to marry and have children and grandchildren etc. . . He went on to be a priest.
You now how I love my hibiscus so I had to use those with some paper from Perfect Day. My husband wanted me to put a bug on the card so I stamped a cute little worm under the HB on the flowerpot card and named him Charlie. The stars are from Wishing Star and the paper is from Stardust.
I was just saying to Sharli that I am not a last minute person, but these cards are due in upstate New York and southwest Virginia by Wednesday. They might be late.
Thanks for tuning in.

Beautiful. I really love your flower card. I keep meaning to make one of those but still have not gotten around to it!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards, Lesley! Love the green that you added to the top one, and your flower pot card is stunning! Those hibiscus stamps are so fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and enjoy what's left of Sunday!
BEEEEEEautiful. I especially love the stardust card. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards!! What a neat story, too!
ReplyDeleteI looked and looked for the worm - but am missing him? Where did he hide?
Leslie! You are such a tease! The worm was added after the photo was taken! Well, then. Sing PRAISES! I'm not going blind after all! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's ok if you add the "e" to Sharli, I answer to a lot of funny names and "Charlie" is my "starbucks" name, I definitely answer to that one! With an unusual name, I learned early in life that it just wasn't worth it being particular. Go with the flow.
Wow. Those are great cards for "last minute". What a great story about your friends. That is wonderful that they stayed friends all those years. Love the flower basket...I am going to have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE your flower pot card! Now I have to get yet another stamp set. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the Stardust card! It's still one of my favorite paper packs.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love the tropical twist to the flower pot card. Great job!
