Not much - just a cigar box
I made this last night during commercials. One of the secretaries is heading up the United Way campaign and asked if I could decorate a box for her to put the bids for items donated into. Of course, I didn't have one of those large Kleenex boxes that probably would have been perfect. I had seen a ton of them at Teacher Depot, but NO I was more interested in getting the silver card stock than the Kleenex boxes so I made this. I took it in to her this morning even though I stayed home from work. I am not feeling wonderful and thought a day in bed could only help. She thought it was a donation. I did donate 6 of the little scarves that I crocheted and a little purse with 3x3 cards in it. One of the desktop calendars that I made and a heart shaped basket with a red bow on it. That will be my contribution to United Way this year. I told her if no one bid on the items I wanted them back though. Was that wrong of me?
My Nyquil is kicking in, time to head back to bed.
Thanks for tuning in.

ReplyDeleteHey Leslie. Hope you are feeling better. you are such a kind and giving person. I think you were well within your limits to ask for your items back. However, I don't think you will get them back. I am sure they will sell. I love what you did with the box. Looks great!
