Retirement Gift

The lady who is training me on our computer system and policies and procedures at work is retiring at the end of this week. I am her last trainee. I would imagine she will need thank you cards for the gifts she will receive. She is a very sweet lady.
I KNOW that the leaves are WAY out of proportion to the tree, but they are so cute I couldn't help myself. I got these when I won blog candy, I can't remember whose though. The design of this card holder is by Vicki Wizniuk. Vicki is a Close to my Heart Consultant. She designed this holder and some cards to go in it and was so kind to share the recipe. This one has 10 cards. I made 12, but they wouldn't all fit. I was telling Vicki that I was in the process of dying some ribbon, since I didn't have any in colonial white, when the top of the bottle popped off and I got re-inker all over my desk. She said that is why she does it over the kitchen sink. Live and learn, right?
Thanks for tuning in.

  2. Ooooh, so pretty! Dear, card leaves are allowed to be larger than life. Look at how big the tri-leaf stamp is that goes with this tree. Yours are adorable!!!
Were you able to clean up the reinker? Oh dear.

  5. Lovely cards and gift, Leslie! And the leaves look great!

Ah, your reinker story. I squeezed a bottle of Twilight reinker once... a little too hard. It literally exploded. It stained my desk, the walls, etc. I look at it every time I stamp ... If it's any consolation to you, I would have preferred a Colonial White mess.

    Have a great week, friend!

  6. Leslie,

I love these cards - what a thoughtful gift for her! You are so sweet!!

The tree looks great! The leaves are really pretty.

I, too, exploded a re-inker. Mine was cranberry. It's an awful mess - but I was very fortunate as I was just about sure it was ready to go and had just let up the pressure - the mess was mainly on my CTMH desk pad. Gotta love a desk pad!

    Hugs!
