Companion layout and many thanks

Many thanks to all my blogger friends out there who have sent their well wishes for my new job. I feel so fortunate to have such great and caring cyber friends. I also feel so blessed to have a job with benefits again.

I used another layout from the idea book for the companion piece to the layout I am going to do tomorrow night. I used some ideas from the layout on page 2 and some from the layout on page 8. I just noticed that the page 2 layout has brads in the corner so I may add some before the day is out. I am so tickled with the matching floss that I used for the stitching. Helen Onulak over at has a DMC floss conversion chart for our CTMH colors, one of the newer colors was not on the chart so I picked it myself and think I did a great job of matching. The photo of my daughter is only temporarily tacked down so you get an idea of what the layout will look like completed. I was going to work on another layout as I wasn't sure this one matched well enough, but time is running out. Got to get back to the scrap room and make a door prize and get my bags packed as I won't be home before the gathering. I go from an all day meeting to a training session with the accountant that is doing my job at the real estate office and straight to the fun part of the day - teaching, selling and having fun.
Thanks for tuning in.
