Days 2 Christmas - 2nd post today
This is a quick and easy project to put together. It only took an hour or so and that was after a false start. I originally saw this calendar on Tara Kenyon's blog
She is one talented lady, be sure to check out her blog. She is having a workshop in November and this is one of the items they will be making. I thought it was a great idea for a door prize at my gathering. I used coasters for this and my false start was to use a wet glue to attach the B&T to the coasters when they bubbled I thought, never mind I will just use my tape gun, then once I had them sanded, made the number tags I had to hunt around for the rings. I guess I need to pick some up at the LSS. The numbers came from a stamp set called Friendship. I can't exactly remember where or when I got it, but I seem to think it was a special, because it is not for sale in the idea book. I decided to add an image to the front cover of the little goody so here it is.
Anyway, once I get everything packed up for my gathering I need to concentrate on a birthday gift for a friend. She is a friend of my sister's whom I met when we moved here. She actually picked out our apartment for us. Her birthday is this month and my sister also has a birthday this month so Marci called to invite me to drive down to Daytona for a birthday lunch. I can save the postage on my sister's gift now. Cool cool, plus I get to see two of my sisters this month.
Thanks for tuning in again.

ReplyDeleteLeslie,
ReplyDeleteCute idea - that will be a fun workshop, too. How was the first week at the new job??
This is darling!
ReplyDeleteLeslie this is outstanding!!! I will HAVE to do this. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I like 'less than an hour'. How did the gathering go? Things are really looking up, dear!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that, I may have to scraplift!
ReplyDeleteI really do love this! I keep coming back to look at it. I think I still have some coasters I can use! Thanks again for the idea!
ReplyDeleteHow clever is this Leslie my kiddos would love it as much as myself! I love the added bling! Beth
ReplyDeleteSo, this is just 2 coasters with the 25 number sets inside of them? It doesn't appear that you have 25 coasters on those rings.....just wanted to clarify!
ReplyDeleteI like what you did Leslie! Thanks for the link to my blog. I only used one coaster and then made an easel back from white CS. Also, I had thought about using the metal rings, but could not find any small enough for me, so I just used twine. Thanks again! Love your work :)
