What do you do with your rejects?

I thought this card would be so pretty, but it kind of lost something in the translation from thought to paper. I am not happy with my bow, cuz I cut the ends too short, I love the poinsettias, but not happy with the presentation on the vanilla cream card stock. Anyway, since I hadn't posted in a few days I wanted to show you that I have visited my scrap room a few times. Actually, I have made a "herd" of punkins, all different sizes, but didn't take any photos. Then yesterday I took them to work and set them on the corner of my desk and when the boss's wife came in she bought the entire "herd" as she called them. I attempted an ear of corn, but that didn't work. I will spare you that photo. I have one little bitty fella on my scrap desk that I may make some mates for and show you later. I may have to run out and get some more orange card stock before the fall season is too far gone. In case you are concerned that I have fallen off my rocker and can't get up, I prefer punkins, to pumpkins.
Thanks for tuning in and I will catch up with you later. When I actually have something decent to share.

  1. Pretty card, Leslie. Much prettier than you think it is! Your bow is beautiful. I frequently have trouble getting my ends trimmed just right. As for my rejects (and I have plenty), I sometimes attempt a "makeover." Other times, I salvage what's good and toss the rest. Sometimes, I trash the whole thing with the thought, "It's only paper." LOL. Have a great weekend, friend!

  2. wow, is this ever a gorgeous creation....nice work!

The Blue Ridge is awesome....so glad you have been here.

My card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, I use this size most often, although I do luv square cards.

Hope this helps, have a wonderful weekend!

    enjoy *~*

  4. Punkin was my kitty's name - he was a huge orange Maine Coon! But I love the word, too.

I do wish you'd have taken a photo of the whole herd!

I'm actually glad you've done things that didn't work - I thought it was just me who does that and the rest of you were natural artistic geniuses!

  7. Your card is pretty, perhaps however you could remove the flower panel and turn your card on its side then reapply the panel or back it up with a darker neutral...just my 2 cents but if I could make a bow like that I would be so happy! Beth
