That's Me

Stop me if you've heard this one. . .

This is one of my favorite stories, even though I know it isn't true I still love hearing or reading it. I used to keep it on my bulletin board at work so when I was having a bad day or a bad few minutes I could read it and laugh.

Canadians: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the North.

Canadians: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.

Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.

Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.

Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN. THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES ATLANTIC FLEET. THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS ACCOMPANY US. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, I SAY AGAIN, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTERMEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.

Canadians: We are a lighthouse. Your call.

I don't have any artwork to share yet. I got the idea from reading Carol Labuski's blog this morning. The 4th of July is around the corner and Americans should remember that the US is a great nation, founded on Judeo/Christian principals.

Thanks for tuning in. Maybe I'll have more later.
