I'm back in card making mode

Hi, I finished some cards last night and this morning and wanted to post them.
Do you know how it feels when you make a card and put it in the mail forgetting to take a photo of it first? I did that this morning and feel "kinda" bad. I sent it to my daughter so I can go take a photo of it next week when she gets it. I would have liked to share it with you today, but it will have to wait until next week, I guess. These cards that I made are the thank you cards for my gathering on Sunday. My sister had a decent turn out and got $60 in free products and $35.00 off a $70 item. Not bad for inviting some friends over to play and buying some tea and cookies. I think that is the hardest thing for her to do is NOT make a fuss. She is such a great cook. I am told the less fuss you make for a gathering, the easier it is for people to want to duplicate and host a gathering.
I showed off the next month's Stamp of the Month - You've Got Flair and everyone loved it, so I used it again for their thank you cards. I embossed the images with Silver Pearl EP and used sparkles mostly. Flower Soft has these GREAT stickers in gold and silver. I just love them. They are so easy to use and really make things stand out. Notice the gold corners and wavy border on the gold card. The areas not filled in on the corners leave little bits behind on the carrier sheet. I just had to find a way to use them. Some of them are so tiny I used my piercing tool to pick them up. I am not sure how much you will be able to see in the photos though. If you double click on the photo you can get a real close up. The yellow card needed more bling. I added some and posted the new card in place of the first one. Hope you like.
Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Pretty cards, Leslie! Love those corners and piercing tool effects. What's the feathery ribbon/flourish on the blue card? It think it's my favorite!

  5. Leslie,
Thank you for your kind post. I haven't been very fond of this stamp set but you made such great use of it, I am almost tempted to put some ink on it. I sometimes am lucky catch the sunrises looking so pretty, but I live where it's winter even now. But if you like fireworks, we seem to be the fireworks capitol of the world :)
