Stacey's Stampin' Stage Jewelry Colored Inspiration #37
This card was made for Stacy's Stamping Stage challenge. I used Heavenly Blue, Twilight, cocoa, chocolate and white daisy for my card. I made the stripes from heavnely blue cardstock and Good Times B&T on the back of a good times b&t. I used the shining star stamp set and the new Buttoned up stamp set for the buttons.

Gift for friend who just had a baby
This is the pizza box front.
My daughter's best friend growing up just had a baby girl. My youngest is 16 so I am not into the baby scene any longer and didn't know what to give or get her so I decided on cards. What else would I think of since I love making cards so much? I got the recipe for a pizza box and had to make it. Here is the pizza box and 4 cards. I made two cards with primary colors using Animal Crackers and two with pastels using Sweet Pea. I can't decide if I should make 4 envelopes to go with the cards or just make a few more cards.
My daughter doesn't want any children and I am happy about that. My husband and I didn't want children and didn't have any for 10 years, but when the Lord tells you you want children, there isn't anything you can do about it. I thought I would want one, maybe two. Ha ha. The Lord wanted us to have three and we do. I remember BC when we had all the money we NEEDED, maybe not all we wanted, but we didn't need anything. We could pick up and go where we wanted at a moment's notice. That is where my daughter is right now. Who knows what the future will be?I have several more cards to post and then several more to make, but I think I will call it quits for tonight since two of my favorite shows are on and this is probably the end of the season. I have to have my Mark Harmon fix with NCIS and then The Mentalist is on. I think it is a cute show the way Patrick Jayne solves the mystery by paying attention to details. Do you ever watch a show and predict what is about to happen? My husband kept doing that last week and last night while we were watching 24. I sure hope Olivia gets it!!! She is such a witch!!!!

MORE, yes more bath & body trays
I really have gotten quite a bit done today besides making trays. Honest! but I also had fun making 3 inch, 4 inch and 5 inch trays. Here are all 6 trays nesting together. I couldn't remember what the little acrylic bumps were called so I photographed them so you could see what I am talking about. I believe they might be called Dew Drops. My friend, Gail Volk, in New York sent them to me as a thank you gift. I thought they made nice feet. Of course, I could have gotten them on straight but you get the idea.

Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife. A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this:
Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse- sized tazer. The effects of the tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety....??
WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home. I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time; I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.
AWESOME!!!
Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.
Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two triple-A batteries, right? There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target. I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised. Am I wrong?
So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and tazer in another. The directions said that a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant; a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water. Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.
All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference; pretty cute really and (loaded with two itsy, bitsy triple-A batteries) thinking to myself, 'no possible way!' What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best...?
I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side as to say, 'don't do it dipshit,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny little ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it. I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and . .
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD . . WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION . . . WHAT THE HELL!!!
I'm pretty sure Jessie Ventura ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs? The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.
Note: If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a tazer, one note of caution: there is no such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor.. A three second burst would be considered conservative?
IT HURT LIKE HELL!!!
A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape. My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace. The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was. My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching. My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs. I had no control over the drooling.
Apparently I pooped on myself, but was too numb to know for sure and my sense of smell was gone. I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head which I believe came from my hair. I'm still looking for my nuts and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!P.S... My wife, can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift, and now regularly threatens me with it!

Help - I started making these bath & body trays and I can't stop myself
I loved that first bath & body tray so much and I wanted to see if I could make different sizes and guess what - I CAN.
So far I have made the 6x6 and now here are photos of my 7x7 and my 8x8. Next I have to go down in size
The 7x7 tray I used Back Country B&T with Barn Red cardstock and the ribbon is outdoor denim twill. I was pleasantly surprised when I was taking the photos and realized that without even trying I matched up the stripes. That was without even trying. How cool is that?
The 8x8 tray I used hollyhock cardstock and Magic Moments B&T and hollyhock twill ribbon.These are so cool. They go together in about an hour to an hour and a half. They use one 12 x 12 CS, two 12 x 12 B&T (extra when you want all the stripes going in the same direction) and an empty cereal box or some other piece of chipboard for stability.
Someone suggested using the trays for putting favors in for a gathering. I think they would make a nice display. I'll let you know when I make any smaller sizes.

Bath & Body Tray dimensions
Several people asked what the dimensions are of the tray so: 6x6 and 2x6 sides.
I used one 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock and two 12 x 12 sheets of B&T - Background and texture paper. After the CS - cardstock is scored and the corners are cut out the tray is 6 x 6 in area and the sides are 2 inches high. I glued heavy chipboard 6 x 6 on the bottom of the tray and 2 x 6 to the sides and then glued my B&T on top of that so the tray is very sturdy. After everything is glued down I then punched the border and glued it in place. I glued the little acrylic 'bumps' on the bottom for feet to raise it up just a fraction.
I am going to try a 7 x 7 size and see if I can work it out. Seems simple enough - Famous Last Words, right?
I will let you know if I succeed. Hmmmmm what colors should I use?
