second post today

This will really look familiar to all my blogging friends out there, because it is just a slight variation of a card I made a few weeks ago. I used ponderosa pine card stock on this rather than the checkered B&T. So for the inside I had to cut inserts. I used the reindeer from the new Heartfelt Christmas to match the tree on the opposite panel. I love paper piecing the outfits and then using the liquid applique stuff on the trim. If you feel like making a comparison the first card was posted on Aug 18. A friend wants a card to use as an example so I made another one to keep for myself.
What is with Spellcheck? It doesn't recognize ponderosa - must be too young to remember Bonanza. Half of you reading this won't get that reference. Back when TV was wholesome.
Thanks for tuning in.

  2. Are you saying that those of us who remember the Ponderosa are old? Not that I remember it mind you. I love your use of liquid applique and the cards are divine!

  4. Great stuff today! As for the puppy, I was not for getting another dog. When we had Sasha (we had to put her down last August) I was at home most of the time and spent a lot of time with her. Now we are never home, and I didn't want it. However, hubby says he and the kids will 'look after her' - ha we'll see!

  5. Hello Leslie, you are soo creative! I would love to be able to make things like that... and I always wanted to live on the Ponderosa! Wish life was as simple now as it was watching Bonanza back then... Sunday nights for my family were spent eating grilled cheese sandwiches my mama made and the whole family watching Bonanza... Bisous... Julie Marie
