RELAX with cherries

How do you make a card using red and green without making it look like Christmas?
Once again I am posting a card that I am not pleased with but cannot NOT post it after all the effort I put into making it.
This little bookworm was from a digital stamp website that gives away one digital stamp on Friday - Freebie Friday. It is called Digital Delights by Loubie Lou. RELAX and the book worm both came from Digital Delights. The bookworm was so small that instead of coloring him in I just outlined him and used my blending pen to fill him in with some color. I sized him by printing multiple copies on one piece of cardstock. I believe there is another way to size them I just didn't take the time to look for it. I had worked on the card last night and put it aside so I wanted to get it finished this morning.
I used B&T from both Route 66 and Blue Ribbon paper packs. The circle sentiment is from Free Spirit Stamp Set. I need to run out on an errand this morning.
I just think cherries are so cute and I have wanted a cherry stamp for ever. I saw a cute card on Vicki Wizniuk's blog and thought I could do that even if I don't have the stamp. Here is my first attempt at cherries. I think the stems are a little too long, but I had fun attempting.
Thanks for tuning in.

  4. Great card, Leslie! I didn't use a stamp set for my cherries either. Just a couple of hand-drawn stems and leaves from a CTMH set.

Hope your week is a good one!!
