Got the tutorial from SCS today

I saw this tutorial and decided to try it out.
I wish I had what it takes to load up a card with lots of embellishments, I just can't do it. I think I don't have the appropriate imagination. This card is called recessed window. It is a great tutorial. The center of the card is recessed a quarter inch. The center flower is pop dotted just about a sixteen of an inch. I used some dew drops and a white daisy with a pewter designer brad and some vineyard berry grosgrain ribbon. The center stamped flower is an old stamp called Blossom Blocks. I bought them on sale and they have been sitting in my drawer for a year or more.

Thanks for tuning in.

  1. Another beauty ... just the way it is!!! More "stuff" would have not have made it any prettier. It's perfect!! Look forward to trying that technique, too, when I get the chance.

  5. Oh Leslie I think this is perfect, I love your paper and color choices you really have a great eye for details.Really don't need to "load" up a card with embellishments it would take away from your perfect designs.

  9. Leslie,
I love it! Just right with the embellishments. How do you do it though? Is the "frame" around the center raised up on foam or chipboard or something? I agree - the blossom block stamp never looked so good as it does on this card! Perfect!

  10. I have to ask, How do you come up with envelopes for this cards that are unconventional in size and thickness? I love making cards but get stuck in making envelopes. Any ideas? By the way the card, just perfect the way it is...
