Christmas card - yes I know it is early to be making Christmas cards. . .

There are so many things I want to say about this card, I hope I don't forget them all. I got the design idea for this card from Stratford Hall, a card company that sends out catalogues to companies that might want to order cards to send to all their customers. I love getting these catalogues, it is kind of like an Idea Book in itself.

There is supposed to be a ribbon on one edge that ties around the whole card. Maybe I'll go back and put it on later, just not yet. I am actually (what is a nicer way of saying "killing two birds with one stone"? I don't like that saying but you know what I mean when I say it.
I got this Ponderosa Pine B&T and have wanted to use it up for so very long. Any chance I can get, I take.
I got this darling Ms. Holiday Cheer stamp set (this is in our Autumn/Winter 2009 idea book) and couldn't wait to try it out.
Check out the fur trim on the striped jacket and and cap and the trim on the cap on the lady with the tree. I used our liquid applique on these areas. I have had the applique in a drawer for over a year now and when I squeezed it onto the card it looked quite yellow. Even when I went back to it today to heat emboss it, it was still quite yellow. I think it looks okay once heated. phew! I also got out several of my old favorite stamp sets. to play with. The "No Greater Love" set is one I used two years ago for Christmas. The other, Christmas Scripts, is one I have wanted to play with for a couple years now.
The jacket and pants are paper pieced from our Everlasting paper pack. The tree on the inside is also a new stamp set this year called Heartfelt Christmas.
This is definitely not a card I would make to mail to everyone on my list. Way too much going on, it would have to be for someone in particular. Fun to make though.
Oh, I hope I remembered everything I wanted to tell you about this card.
Thanks for tuning in.
